Performance Opportunities

Annual Spring Performance

Picture
BAC's Annual Spring Performance takes place in May each year and is open to all BAC students. Participation, although not mandatory, is greatly encouraged. All ballet and pre-school students perform in Act One, and Act Two features jazz, tap, and modern dances.  The performance takes place at McCall Middle School Auditorium in Winchester and a costume fee for each class is due annually.

Bi-Annual Nutcracker

Picture
Ballet Arts Centre Performing Theater Company presents "The Nutcracker" as a bi-annual performance every other year.  Auditions are open to all ballet students ages 7 and up.  BAC will next present "The Nutcracker" in December 2019.

Community Performances and Events

BAC students participate in various performances, festivals, and special events throughout the year in both the local community and the greater Boston area. Past appearances include Winchester Town Day, Dance for World Community Festival, Boston's Urban Nutcracker, Boston Dance Alliance's Annual Fundraiser, Choreographer's Groups Pre-Professional Gala, and the Mass Dance Festival, as well as several performances at local schools, businesses, and nursing homes.

"Project Inspire" Performances

BAC's "Project Inspire" began with the goal of spreading our love and passion for dance throughout the school, and beyond.  This performance-based project has featured both formal and informal showings, classroom demonstrations, student choreography shows, interactive movements and conversations, alumni discussions, and more.  Hosted by BAC and danced by our Emersion Companies, we hope to "inspire" dancers everywhere to embrace the joy of dance!

Dance Unites Festival

BAC's Dance Unites Festival was created with the mission of sharing our love of dance, movement, and performance with the community and beyond.  The Festival has featured master classes and workshops with guest teachers from the surrounding area, student/choreographer forum discussions about dance, as well as collaborative Gala Performances with both student and professional companies dancing alongside BAC's Pre-Professional Company and Performance Groups. The goal is to bring together dancers and dance lovers who share a common passion and to celebrate that camaraderie, regardless of school affiliation.
