on Saturday and Sunday, December 4th & 5th, 2021 at the NextDoor Theater in Winchester!* (extra performances if needed Saturday, December 11th) |

Nutcracker "Suite" Auditions
will be held on
Saturday, September 25th, 2021
at BAC studios, 50 Cross Street, Winchester MA and are open to all BAC ballet dancers ages 7 and up.
(Students must be enrolled in a ballet class at BAC at least once a week)
Ages 13 and Up - 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
Ages 10 to 12 - 2:15 to 3:15 p.m.
Ages 7 to 9 - 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
These are starting times. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time. No one will be admitted into the studio after the doors have closed.
Dancers should be audition ready with proper hair and ballet attire.
Intermediate/Advanced dancers should bring pointe shoes.
No Audition Fee - $295.00 Performance Fee if awarded a role (non-refundable)
*We will plan to have a live audience in our theater, most likely with a limited capacity. If our assessment of the safety situation changes
as we get closer to our dates we will pivot to a live-stream showing and either way a video option will be available to all.
This is a BAC student production and all of the protocol and guidelines that have been put in place
for our regular classes will be adhered to for Nutcracker rehearsals, etc., as well. Please be sure to read our Health and Safety Protocols.

for Nutcracker "Suite":
- You must be age 7 or older and currently enrolled at BAC in a weekly ballet class in order to audition for Nutcracker “Suite”.
- There is a $295.00 Performance Fee if you are awarded a role. Performance Fees are non-refundable once rehearsals begin.
- The dates for the shows are Saturday, December 4th, and Sunday, December 5th with the possibility of an added day on Saturday, December 11th. Students must be available for all dates and show times. Shows are at the NextDoor Theater, times TBA.
- There are no refunds given if, due to Covid, we need to pivot to a virtual option.
- Rehearsals are every weekend, with the exception of Thanksgiving weekend, through performance dates (this includes Columbus Day weekend).
- Most young children's parts rehearse on Saturdays, typically for about one to one and a half hours anywhere between 9:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M.
- The week before the performance will require one/possibly two (for older students) mandatory evening run-through rehearsals, times TBA. The mandatory Dress rehearsal will be on Friday, December 3rd at the NextDoor Theater, time TBA.
- Schedules will be given out when rehearsals begin and are, as always, subject to change.
- Students must attend all of their scheduled rehearsals during the run. There is a one absence only policy that is strictly adhered to. Students are allowed to miss one rehearsal only due to extenuating circumstances if absolutely necessary.
- By attending the audition we are assuming that you are here to try out for a part and will accept the role that you are awarded. The casting process is a complicated one that takes many hours and many people to figure out. Once cast, it becomes much more complicated when people turn down roles.
- Our goal is for the audition experience itself to be a positive part of every child's experience. So come, do your best, and enjoy!
