Molly Stamell

Instructor
Modern, Ballet, Children's Work
Molly grew up in Western Massachusetts, and discovered her love of movement at an early age. When she was 3 years old, she took her first dance class, and her training took off from there. She trained extensively in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and West African dance throughout her middle and high school years. She studied at Gervais School of Performing Arts, Amherst Ballet Theater Company, and the Bates College Dance Festival, which she attended for three summers as a student in the Young Dancer’s Workshop Intensive. When she was 18, Molly moved to Montreal, where she majored in Contemporary Dance at Concordia University. Molly completed her BFA thesis project on healing and preventing dance injuries. She graduated from Concordia in December 2011.

After completing her BFA, Molly spent three months walking the Camino Pilgrimage Trail in France and Spain. Upon her return to Western Mass, she completed a 200 hour certification in Embodyoga. She will graduate with a 500 hour certificate in December 2015. Molly begins an MFA degree in Interdisciplinary Arts at Goddard College in July 2015. She currently teaches many styles of dance, yoga, fitness, conditioning, and injury prevention classes, and has staged three full-length works of Contemporary dance for the Amherst Ballet Theater Company in 2013, 2014, and 2015. Molly joined the BAC faculty in 2015.
