Dress Code

Adherence to the dress code is mandatory for all classes in order to ensure the proper development of body placement.  Hair must be pulled up and tightly secured, a ballet bun should be worn in all ballet classes. Jewelry should be kept to a minimum. T-shirts, sweatshirts, leg warmers and baggy clothes will not be permitted in any class. During winter months, students may wear a wrap ballet sweater or a solid color, tight fitting, jersey or sweater.  The BAC Dress Code is available through On Your Toes in Peabody, MA.  Mention you are a BAC student to receive a discount.

Creative Movement
Pink long sleeve leotard (Eurotard # 10408); Theatrical pink tights; pink ballet slippers (Bloch 205G or SoDanca SD 55 Full Sole).

Pre-Primary & Primary
White tank leotard (Eurotard #1089); Theatrical pink tights; pink ballet slippers (Bloch 205G or SoDanca SD 55 Full Sole); white tap shoes (SoDanca TA35); Fingertip skirt (to be purchased through BAC studio after Fall classes have begun)

PPJ & Ballet Grades I-IV
Black tank leotard (Eurotard # 1089 or #1002); Theatrical pink tights; pink ballet slippers (Bloch 205G or SoDanca SD 55 Full Sole for PPJ, Grade 1 & 2, SoDanca SD 60 Split Sole for Grade 3 & 4)

Intermediate/Advanced Ballet
Solid color leotard; Theatrical pink tights; pink ballet slippers (SoDanca SD 16 Split Sole Canvas)

Pointe
Chiffon ballet skirt; pink pointe shoes.

Jazz
Black tank leotard (Eurotard # 1089 or # 1002); pink or suntan tights (black dance pants optional); Jazz 1-4: Tan jazz shoes (Bloch S0495G or SoDanca SDJZ 43), Intermediate-Advanced & Teen Jazz:  Black jazz shoes (Bloch S0495L or SoDanca SDJZ45)

Tap
Black tank leotard (Eurotard # 1089 or #1002); suntan tights; Tap 1 & 2 - white tap shoes (SoDanca TA35); Tap 3 & 4 - Bloch or Capezio black oxford

Boys
Black dance pants; white top; black or white slippers.


​Modern
Black leotard, black dance pants, or black dance shorts, or black tights, or black leggings, bare feet, bring socks and tops to put on if movements require sliding, however do not wear them into the room
