About BAC's Emersion Dance Program

BAC's Emersion Pre-Professional Training Program provides dedicated students with an opportunity to pursue their dance training at a more serious level, and participation is audition-based. Students intensify their dance training by committing to a required number of classes per week, as well as additional Emersion classes, rehearsals, activities, and performances.

Lorraine Chapman is an award-winning choreographer whose work has been supported by New England Foundation for the Arts, The Boston Foundation, Boston Dance Alliance, Boston Center for the Arts, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.  She has been on faculty at BAC since 1995.

Emily Jerant-Hendrickson is a BAC alumnus and a graduate of The Boston Conservatory holding a BFA in contemporary dance. She has danced and choreographed professionally in the US and beyond, and has been on BAC's faculty as a Contemporary instructor as well as an intermittent chorographer.
