Rachel Burke
Ballet Master Classes

Ms. Rachel Ann Burke is a Cambridge native. She received her early training under Larissa Luvisichuk in the Vaganova method then went on to study at Boston Ballet and Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre. She also spent summers at American Ballet Theatre, Joffrey Ballet, and Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet.  Following her early education she went on to receive her B.F.A in Dance and Ballet Pedigogy from The Boston Conservatory under partial scholarship.
Rachel has been teaching Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet classes for over 15 years. She also enjoys teaching pointe and older level dancers to share her knowledge and passion for dance in its athleticism and its artistic expressions. She has danced with various companies and choreographers in the Boston area including Contrapose Dance, Jose Mateo's Ballet Theatre, works by Gino de Marco, Tony Williams, and David Drummond. BAC is thrilled to have Rachel return after her maternity leave to teach our Ballet Master Class Mini-Sessions!

Claire Lane
Contemporary Master Classes

Ms. Claire Lane (she/her) is a MA-raised dance artist. She graduated summa cum laude in 2020 from Smith College with a B.A. in Dance and French Studies with the distinction of highest honors. Claire has worked professionally with Kairos Dance Theater, Abilities Dance Boston, Chavi Bansal/Vimoksha Dance, Holly Stone, Haley Andrews, and Eliza Malecki Dance. She is co-founder and co-Artistic Director of detritus dance, a Boston-based collective of multidisciplinary artists focused on reframing storytelling through the feminist gaze using contemporary dance, collage, and text. As a dance educator to toddlers through senior citizens, she uses somatic imagery to ignite curiosity, play, and technical rigor with her students.  BAC is excited to welcome Claire to teach our Contemporary Master Class Mini-Sessions!
