plays host or sponsors unique events that contribute to the overall learning
experience of its students from both a dancer's perspective as well as from
a spectator's point of view.
Master Classes
Master Classes and special workshops are held at the studios with many
renowned teachers from the greater Boston and New York area. These teachers
have included the likes of Daniel Pelzig, choreographer for Boston Ballet,
Jose Mateo and Adrienne Hawkins.
Extension Trips
Students are offered the opportunity to take
part in extension trips to attend performances
of major companies including Alvin Ailey, Hubbard
Street Theater Co., Boston Ballet, ABT and
many more. This year
the school continued this tradition, offering
students the chance to visit New York City
to attend classes at schools such as Broadway
Dance and Steps, and to view Broadway Shows
such as The
Lion King.
Events for Younger Students
Events for our younger students include the Valentine's Day "Sweetheart
Ball" and performance events outside of the school including Winchester's
annual Town Day festivities, The EnKa Parade, The Ageless Follies, and
community-sponsored charity events.
